Fireworks in Covington

I was born at St. Elizabeth's in Covington but lived in Cincinnati until my dad died in 1984 and then we moved to Covington when I was 13. My cousins Boe and Mary Lou Steinborn lived on the corner of 18th and Garrard and every 4th of July everyone in the neighborhood would come to that corner to let off their fireworks and to see all the others. It was a great time. Then after it was all over everyone would get their brooms and start sweeping.
