Kenton County Birth Records

Kentucky began keeping birth records in 1852 but they were not required until 1911. Prior to 1911 birth records were kept by the counties and the information recorded varied widely. After 1911 the state required more uniform information to be collected.

This page contains birth record images and transcriptions for various years.

Birth Records 1852

In 1852 Kenton County recorded its birth records in a large book. The records include the date, child's name and other details. Sharon Mosley graciously took photos of the images and Carolyn has transcribed them.

Be aware that the surname spelling may vary and the details were collected from the person giving the information.
