  • 1830 Mason Co. census -- Mordecai McKenzie
Since Mordica McKinsey Junr first appears as a 21 year old male in 1822, I assume he was born in 1801.
That corresponds with what you know about your Mordica
.
Sometimes men who were unrelated but having the same name were given the titles
Junior and Senior to identify them in records.
However, it would seem a good clue that Mordica Jr. may have been the son of Mordica Sr.
I don't know when Ann was born (although the 1830 census says the oldest female in Mordecai's
household was aged 20 to 29) and I don't know who here parents were.
It's possible she was the daughter of John Tucker the Rev War soldier from Maryland
(my ancestor through his daughter Lucretia).
She could have been the daughter of Edward (b abt 1782, m 1805 Polly Barton/Burton)
or Thomas (b abt 1783, m 1803 Catharine Hester).
I suspect Edward and Thomas were sons of John Tucker but have found no proof of that.
As you know, Mordicai/Mordecai McKinsey married Ann Tucker.
The marriage bond was dated 30 Mar 1824 with Modicai/Mordecai McKinsey
and Edward Tucker as securities. There was no return,
so we don't know what the marriage date was but it was usually within a day or two of the bond.
Edward may be the prime candidate as father since he posted bond
for the marriage and Mordecai and Ann's first child was William Edward McKinsey.
