Haley, Ronald Bryan

Haley infant dies; funeral is Sunday

Graham - Ronald Bryan Haley, one-day-old, died at Muhlenberg Community Hospital on Friday, Sept. 1 at 4:55 p.m. He was born Aug. 31 in Muhlenberg County.

He is survived by parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Haley of Graham; brother, David Wayne Haley; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Haley of Graham; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McDonald of Depoy.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Ora DeArmond. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Hammers, Morton

Countians' Brother Buried at Henderson

Robards - Morton Hammers, born Sept. 27, 1889 at Rochester in Bulter County, died April 18 of a heart attack at Robards. He was buried at Henderson Monday April 21.

He is survived by one brother, Harrison Hammers, of Evansville, two sisters, Mrs. A. L. Hendricks and Mrs. Katie McClellan, both of Cleaton.

Harkins, Leona

Mrs. Leona Harkins, 85, buried Sept. 6

Greenville - Mrs. Leona Harkins, 85, died Monday, Sept. 4 at 6:45 p.m. at the home of her son, Ray Harkins of Greenville Route 1.

She was born in Muhlenberg County on April 4, 1882 and was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lena Rolley of Greenville, Mrs. Mae Williams of Greenville Route 1, Mrs. Nellie Rolley of Evansville, Ind., Mrs. Elsie Kalisch of Maryland; three sons, Roy, Ray and Bishop of Greenville Route 1; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. L. E. Tucker of Herrin, Ill.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Greenville with the Rev. Woodburn Green officiating, assisted by the Rev. William Bullock, with burial in Lee Cemetery.

Harris, Lawrence Raymond

Lawrence Harris, 64, dies on West Coast

Bakersville, Calif. - Lawrence Raymond (Ginger) Harris, 64, died on Dec. 14 in Bakersfield, Calif. Mr. Harris, who formerly lived in Martwick and Central City, is survived by a son, Ralph Harris of Santa Ana, Calif. and a daughter, Mrs. W. L. Porter, Jr. and three grandchildren of Matteson, Ill.; brother, Clem Harris of Elkton.

He was a member of the First Christian Church there. He spent two years in the Panama Canal Zone and has been living in California about 14 years. His body was cremated.

He was former husband of Mrs. Katie Harris, Fort Pierce, Fla.

Hart, Thomas

Mrs. Fulkerson's Uncle, 80, Dies

Louisville - Thomas Hart, 80, died Sunday, Oct. 2 at 10:20 a.m. in Louisville. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 5 by the Rev. Robert H. Alston, pastor of the Hazelwood Baptist Church, with burial in Cave Hill cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Rodman Bray; son, Bert Hart; brother, John Hart; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Shartzer, Mrs. Emma Langley, Mrs. Kate Clark; grandson, Robert Hart; niece, Mrs. Darrel Fulkerson of Central City.
