Donovan, Edgar A.

Bremen Man Buried Friday
Funeral Services for Edgar A. Donovan Held Last Friday at Shaver's Chapel.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock last Friday afternoon for Edgar A. Donovan, 40, of Bremen, at the Shaver's Chapel Methodist church.

The Bremen man was found dead Tuesday morning, December 25, beside the grave of his wife in Shaver's Chapel Cemetery, where he went alone on the evening before.

The body of Donovan was removed to the Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, where it was prepared for burial. It was later taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Florence Gish of Bremen, where it remained until the hour of the services.

The services were conducted by the Rev. S.A. Kittinger of Bremen. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Children surviving are: Edgar A. Jr., Charles Ray, Alene, Ann and Gay Nell.

Other sisters surviving are Mrs. Cordie Coffman of Texas and Mrs. Lillian Wright of Bowling Green; four brothers, Hugh Donovan, Owensboro; C.C. Donovan, Central City; Ecklas Donovan, Bremen, and Dewey Donovan of Louisville.

Doss, Mary Ethel

Mrs. Mary Doss, 77, Dies April 7

Graham - Mrs. Mary Ethel Doss, 77, died at her home in Graham Wednesday, April 7 at 2:15 a.m.

Born in Muhlenberg County May 13, 1893, she was a member of the Little Bethel General Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mary Perry of Evansville, Mrs. Macie Bunker of Decatur, Ill., Mrs. Marie Scott of Graham and Mrs. Ruth Pentecost of Evansville; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; step-brother, Owen Crist of Central City.

Funeral services were Thursday at 2 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with the Rev. Ora DeArmond in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Doss, Moody T.

Moody T. Doss, 78, To Be Buried Today

Moody T. Doss, 78, died on Tuesday at 12:55 p.m. at his home in Central City.

He was born in Muhlenberg County on Feb. 8, 1888. He was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church and a retired coal miner.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Doss; son, Roland Doss of Evansville; four daughters, Mrs. Macie Douglas, Mrs. Ruth Pentecost and Mrs. Mary Perry of Evansville and Mrs. Marie Scott of Central City; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Services will be today (Thursday) at 3 p.m., the Rev. Ora DeArmond in charge. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
