On 13th inst., at her home at mouth of Camp Creek in Btracken county, Mrs. Rebecca Jett, relict of Thomas Jett, aged 82 years. Mrs. Jett was one of the oldests settlers in this section, having resided for about 60 years in the house where she died. She was the mother of 20 children, 16 of whom are still living. Mr. Peter Jett of this county is a surviving son. Jerry Jett of Bracken, another son is 66 years old. The remains of Mrs. Jett were buried on her farm where her husband was buried, and within sixty yards of the house. "The late Mrs. Rebecca Jett was probably the most remarkable woman that lived in the state. She was 82 years old, gave birth to 20 children, 19 of whom lived to raise families, and when her youngest child was a year old the oldest was only 20, and no twins were born, it will be seen that she gave birth to a child every year during the first 20 years of her married life. Her oldest child is 66."
