Trueax Cemetery
Cemetery found and documented on June 5, 2005 by Lois Poe, her daughter Colette Bivens and Bill
Wheaton
The cemetery is located on the farm presently owned by James Stegel. It is in the NW portion of the
county, off RT 539. It is at the end of CULP Rd. (last part of road is gravel). It is on the left side
of the road approx. 1000 yards up a slight hill. Follow fence line up to it. Cemetery is about 50' x
100' in a thick overgrown area, partially fenced in.
Seven headstones were found, 1 fieldstone that appears to be a grave marker plus several depressions
which appear to be old graves.
