Penrod - Mr. Ellis Wood, 89, of Penrod, died Saturday, September 16, 1995 at the home of his daughter, Shirley Williams in Dunmor.
Mr. Wood was born in Muhlenberg County on June 1, 1906. He was a miner and a member of Mt. Moriah Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by father, Abner Wood, mother, Etta Wood, and wife Elsie Elizabeth Beadnell.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Ruth Grayson of Beechmont, Brenda Lois Peacock of Fordsville, and Shirley Sue Williams of Dunmor; one son, Charles Ellis Wood of Russellville; one sister, Bertha Christie of Greenville and one brother Herbert Wood of Dunmor.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 19 at 11 a.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc. in Lewisburg with Mr. Charles Patton officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Church of Christ Cemetery in Muhlenberg County.
Cecil C. Woodall, 60, is buried Sept. 6
Cecil Columbus Woodall, 60, of Cetral City, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in the Hopkins County Hospital in Madisonville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. S.A. Kittinger and the Rev. Gerald Jones officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Naomi Woodall, three sons, C.W. and Raymond of California and Bobby of Reno, Nev.; daughter, Mrs. Hilda Hancock of California; four step-sons, Ray and Jerry Miller of Greenville, Bobby Miller of Evansville, Rodney Miller of Central City; step-daughter, Miss Nancy Miller of Evansville; two brothers, Johnny Woodall and Otway Woodall of Central City; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Mae Whittinghill of Bremen Route 1 and Mrs. Edna Vincent of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
