Mrs. Delie Board of Powderly dies

Powderly - Mrs. Delie Board, 94, of Powderly, died Sunday, October 8 at 1:50 p.m. at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.

Mrs. Board was born in Muhlenberg County October 1, 1884.

Survivors include two daughters, Mable Hinton, Powderly, Bessie Oglesby, White Plains; two sons, Hugh Board, Akron, Ohio; Denzil Board, Nigley, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 10 at 2 p.m. at the Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Houston Noffsinger officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bob Spears. Burial was in Coleman Cemetery.

Bohannon, Hugh

Hugh Bohannon, 83, Dies Jan. 6

Greenville - Hugh Bohannon, 83, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6 at his residence in Greenville.

Born March 6, 1888 in Muhlenberg County, he was a retired factory representitive for the Burton Manufacturing Co.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Grace Pulley, Mrs. Ruth Sherrod and Mrs. Virginia Hale of Greenville; two nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday in Greenville with the Rev. A. B. Gross and the Rev. William Jines officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

Booth, Ceaphus

Ceaphus Booth, Dies on Nov. 5

Ceaphus Booth, 87, of Central City, died at Jenny Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m.

A retired farmer, he was born in Butler County Oct. 25, 1887.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Booth of Central City; son, J.C. Booth of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Stewart of Central City, Mrs. Myrl Ingram of Lockport, N.Y. and Mrs. Dean Back of Rineyville; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Eldon Booth of Rineyville.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with the Rev. Roy Geary and the Rev. Leroy Vaught in charge. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery in Butler County.
