Descendants of Raleigh “Rolley” Hopper & Lucy Thompson
Raleigh / Rolley Hopper was born about 1772. He married Lucy Thompson (born about 1775) on 4 October 1794 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. Rolley came to Bourbon County, probably from the Carolinas, in the early 1790s. By 1801 the young family had moved to Scott County, Kentucky.
Rolley Hopper died sometime prior to 1820, possibly in Franklin County. Lucy Hopper is listed as head of household on the 1820 Franklin County census.

Reuben Hopper
Married Ann “Anna” Lewis on 11 December 1822 in Fayette County, Kentucky.
Children: John L. (b. 1825), Elizabeth (b. 1828), Sarah J. (b. 1829), Simon (b. 1830), Benjamin (b. 1832), David (b. 1835), Louisa (b. 1837), Amanda (b. 1839), and Susan (b. 1845).
Samuel Hopper
Married Margaret “Peggy” Brown sometime prior to January 1822. Tax rolls show the family living in Casey County, Kentucky from 1823–1838.
Children: Simon T. (1822–1915), Martha Jane (1822–1914), and Ezekiel (1827–after 1850).
Rachel Hopper
Married George Cook on 16 January 1823 in Franklin County, Kentucky. Mothers Lucy Hopper and Martha Cook gave consent for the marriage.
Nothing further is currently known of this couple.
Simon Hopper
Married Sarah Ann Sacra on 8 November 1825 in Fayette County, Kentucky. Sarah was born 16 October 1807 in Woodford County, Kentucky.
Children: William R. (b. 1826), Elijah M. (b. 1829), Thomas J. (b. 1832), Mary Jane (b. 1835), Matilda “Millie” (b. 1836), Joseph S. (b. 1838), Frances (b. 1841), Ellen (b. 1843), Elizabeth (b. 1845), and Analisa (b. 1847).
Rolley Hopper
Married Catherine Woods on 30 April 1828 in Fayette County, Kentucky. Catherine’s maiden name is unknown; she had been previously married to a Woods.
In 1838 Catharine Hopper gave consent for the marriage of her daughter Adaline D. Woods to Willis Baker (consent witnessed by Rolley Hopper). No children of Rolley and Catherine have been located.
