Honoring the volunteers who made this free resource possible.
A Note of Thanks
Franklin County KYGenWeb exists because of the dedication of the many volunteers who came before us.
This site was first built in September 1998 by Anne Holder Lee. In the years that followed, countless researchers, transcribers, photographers, and county coordinators freely shared their time, records, and knowledge so that others could find their Franklin County roots. Their work—quietly done, carefully preserved, and freely given—forms the foundation of everything you see here today.
We are deeply grateful to every person who contributed a transcription, a photograph, a family history, a lookup, or simply the steady care that kept these pages alive across nearly three decades. The records you search, the indexes you use, and the connections you make are possible because of them.
Thank you.
The work continues in the same spirit: free, collaborative, and focused on helping others discover their family history.
