Samuel Tracy Family
Early settlers of Franklin and Anderson Counties, Kentucky
Samuel Tracy lived in Culpeper County, Virginia, before migrating to Kentucky. Shortly after arriving, he purchased land on the Salt River (then part of Anderson County) and was associated with the Salt River Church, where his wife Ann (also referred to as Nancy) was listed as a charter member in 1803. Samuel died in Franklin County around 1805, leaving a will dated 20 February 1804 and probated on 17 June 1805 (Will Book 1, page 35).

- John Tracy — Married Catherine Faught on 8 December 1800 in Shelby County, Kentucky.
- Mary "Polly" Tracy — Married Leonard Faught on 29 June 1801.
- Elizabeth "Betsy" Tracy — Married John Parrent on 24 January 1798 in Franklin County.
- James Tracy — Died around 1810.
- Margaret "Peggy" Tracy — Married Thomas Parrent on 20 December 1806 in Franklin County.
- William Tracy — Preceded his father in death, passing away around 1804 in Franklin County.
