John Lewis Family
Early settlers of the Stoney Creek area, Bald Knob
John Lewis was born about 1783 in North Carolina. He came to Franklin County around 1800 and settled in the Stoney Creek area of Bald Knob, where he purchased most of the land along the Kentucky River.
On 28 November 1810, John married Martha "Patsy" Prewitt (born 8 August 1788 in Virginia). John, Martha, and several of their eleven children are known to be buried in the Lewis Family Graveyard, now located on the Moore farm.

William Scott Lewis
Married Rebecca Harp (born 17 October 1820) on 1 October 1844. Both are buried at Antioch Church Cemetery, Franklin County. Children: Walter, James, June, Keaton, and Louisa.
John P. Lewis
Married Martha Oliver on 26 October 1835. Children: Campbell, Walker R., Margarete, Pamila, and Scott. Buried in the family graveyard.
Eliza Annie Lewis
Married Fielding Lewis on 10 November 1836.
Walker L. Lewis
Married Mahala Semones on 25 November 1852. Children: Fielding E., Francis A., Lewellen, Lindon Samuel, Hugh Rodman, Lucy Jean, and Robert M. Lewis.
James M. Lewis
Married America Polsgrove on 8 January 1852. Children: George Washington, Franklin Pierce, William Henry, Martha, Robert Lee, and Thomas Jeff. Buried in the family graveyard.

Married Royal Wade on 15 April 1852.

Married Rice Oliver on 13 February 1850. Children: Lewis, Jennie, and Ella.
Robert Brown Lewis
Married Sarah Frances Smith (daughter of Daniel and Emariah Moore Smith) on 29 March 1853. Children: Robert Samuel, Alice May, Sophronia B., Mary Ellen, Emmariah, Ira, and Nettie. Buried in the Frankfort Cemetery.

Married Almus Walker Polsgrove.
