Rev. James Alfred Peters
Minister of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church
Rev. James Alfred Peters was born in New Castle, Henry County, Kentucky, on 20 October 1822 and died in Frankfort, Franklin County, on 3 April 1904. For many years, he served as the minister of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, where he is buried.
He married first about 1844 to Elizabeth "Bettie" White (born 7 April 1823, died 14 April 1892). He married second on 26 December 1894 to Elizabeth P. Shepard (1842–1900). Both wives are buried beside him at Pleasant Ridge.
