Henry E. Tutt Family
Civil War veteran and family lines in Morgan, Franklin, and Jefferson Counties, Kentucky
Henry E. Tutt was born on 15 June 1837 in Morgan County, Kentucky, the son of James B. Tutt (born c. 1813 in Floyd County) and Esther Haney Childers (born 1817 in Russell County, Virginia).
Henry served in the Union Army during the Civil War, enlisting on 6 August 1861 in Company E, 4th Kentucky Infantry Volunteers. After serving four years and two months, he was discharged on 25 October 1865. On 2 June 1870 in Franklin County, Kentucky, he married Ann Marie "Annie" Sacra, daughter of George Washington Sacra and Julia Ann Jenkins. Henry passed away on 8 December 1913 and is buried in the National Cemetery at Cave Hill, Louisville, Kentucky (Section E, Roll 9). Annie Sacra Tutt died on 24 July 1901 and is buried in Section 6 at Cave Hill Cemetery.
