George, Henry, and Thornton Sudduth first appeared on Kentucky census records in Woodford County in 1820. By 1830, the families of George, Thornton, and William Sudduth relocated to Franklin County, where they remained permanently. All three men were born in the late 1780s and 1790s.

George Sudduth Lineage

George Sudduth was born in Virginia on 23 March 1787. He married Sarah Pierce (born 28 October 1793 in Virginia). After appearing in the 1820 Woodford County census, the family moved to Franklin County by 1830. George died on 9 June 1860 and Sarah died on 13 March 1865; both are buried in the Sudduth Graveyard on St. John Road, Franklin County.

George Washington "Wash" Sudduth Branch

Son of George and Sarah, born 1814/1815 in Woodford County. He married Elizabeth Pace on 14 November 1835. Their children included Sylvester, Louisa Ann, William H., Thornton (twin), Elizabeth (twin, b. 1844), Attaway, Washington, Sarah J., and Frances "Fanny".

Thornton Sudduth

Born 5 June 1844 · Died 21 April 1921

Son of George Washington and Elizabeth Pace Sudduth. He married Matilda Catherine Pulliam (1842–1918) on 3 March 1867. Their children included Elizabeth, Jeptha, and Desmona. Both Thornton and Matilda are buried in the Sudduth Graveyard.

Desmona Sudduth

Born 5 December 1881 · Died 14 September 1937

Daughter of Thornton and Matilda. She married Lewis Crittenden Childs on 4 March 1903. Both are buried in Section U of the Frankfort Cemetery. Their son, Cecil Sudduth Childs (1908–1970), married Veatrice Shouley, and they were the parents of Betty Carolyn Childs (who married George W. Gayhart).
