Affidavit of Mary Sacre (May 20, 1839)
Commonwealth of Kentucky, Gallatin County, Sct.
I, John Montgomery, a Justice of the Peace in and for the county aforesaid, do certify that this day personally appeared before me Mary Sacre and made oath that the paper hereunto annexed purporting to be the family record of Isaac Sacre was in the possession of her father-in-law during his life, and since in the possession of her husband during his life, and since the death of her husband, James Sacre, the same identical paper has remained in her possession—Mary Sacre, wife of James Sacre and daughter-in-law of Isaac Sacre. Given under my hand and seal the 20th day of May, 1839.

I, John Robinson, Clerk of the County for the county aforesaid, do certify that John Montgomery, Esqr., was at the day of the above certificate and is yet an acting Justice of the Peace in and for the county of Gallatin, duly appointed and qualified according to law, and that full faith and credit is and ought to be given to all his official acts. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal of office this 20th day of May, 1839.
