Mary Ann Davis nee Lewis was born March 24, 1819 in Caldwell Co. Kentucky. On the 16th of June 1840 she was married to Caswell Davis. They had three children, two sons and one daughter.

William Marshall Guill (b. Dec. 1846, Wilson Co. TN, d. Dec. 16, 1907) married Josephine Ann Boon (b. April 30, 1868, Crittenden Co. KY, d. March 1, 1955, Mansfield, OH) on Jan. 17, 1884 in Caldwell County. The child is believed to be Ruba Duke Guill.

Children: John Elexander, Joseph Leslie, Nancy Elizabeth, Luther M., Carl Pressley, Milton M., Archie Raymond, Ruba Duke, and Azle.

The fourth man on the back row with a hat on and a baby in arm is Jesse Ann Carmack Jr. (b. 28 April 1868, Galveston, TX). Jesse married Mary Jane Stallins on 8 January 1891 (b. 2 March 1869, d. 23 June 1905, Caldwell County) and later married Mettie Ethel Ashby on 11 December 1907 (b. 14 August 1885, d. 18 October 1947, Caldwell County).

The baby in Jesse's arms is Georgia Ethel Carmack Ward (b. 3 March 1914, d. July 1998). Left of Jesse, Mettie is holding Lena Lucille Carmack Ward (b. 7 January 1915, d. June 1998).

Men #8 and #9 (back row) are believed to be William Turner (Billie) Stallins (born abt. 1831) and a brother or son. The white goatee was known as "the Jefferson Davis goatee" worn by Confederate veterans.
