Parent/Parrent Family Tax Records
I extracted these tax records from microfilmed copies of the original Nelson, Livingston, Caldwell, Calloway and Lyon County KY Tax Records. They relate primarily to David Parent and his male descendents although they include some Parent/Parrent men of unknown relationship. The Caldwell County film covers the period 1809-1848 but there are several missing years. I've never found Caldwell tax lists after 1848 but they may exist. Lyon County was created from Caldwell in 1854 but apparently tax lists for 1854 through 1862 are missing.
Caveats: Despite my best effort, there are probably errors in my interpretation of the writing. You should verify my
transcription of a particular entry by referring to the microfilm before using the information. The exact information
collected by the tax assessors varied widely over the years. In abstracting the entries I attempted to capture the
essential elements.
