This index identifies children enumerated in the 1910 census who were described as orphans. Entries note the child’s name and age (when given), the household in which the child was living, and the county and state of enumeration. A place of birth is included when recorded.
The contributor noted that the Kentucky list was mainly for Eastern Kentucky.
Using the index
Use the search box to locate a child or household by name. The state filter limits results to a single state. Be flexible with spelling and initials, and remember that ages and birthplaces were reported by the household and may be approximate or incomplete.
