JOHAN PHILIPPS FREYMANN

Johan Philipps Fryman was born in the year 1742 in Langenselbold, Hesse, Germany.

He immigrated to the Pennsylania area

with his parents Johan Jacob and Anna Magdalena Koch Freymann (German spelling).

The family was possibly involved in farming in Berks County, Pennsylvania,

then later in Nicholas County, Kentucky.

married Catherina Snapp in 1770 in Frederick, Virginia.

Catherina Snapp, was born May 6, 1756 in Berks County, Pennsylania.

Their children were;

1.Philip-born in 1770;

2.Mary Elizabeth-born February 24, 1776 in Washington County, Pennsylania;

3.George-born in 1780 in Pennsylania;

4.Angaessa-born in 1783;

5.Phillip-born February 25, 1787;

6.Nancy-born in 1790;

7.Henry-born May 6, 1791 in Harrison County, Kentucky;

8.Jacob-born in 1794 in Bethlehem, Lehihg County, Pennsylania;

9.Henry F.-born December 9, 1808 in Harrison County, Kentucky;

10.Catherina died in 1808 in Nicholas County, Kentucky.

One possibility I have yet to check

is to see if Johan Philipps Fryman was a soldier during the Revolutionary War.

If so, many soldiers could not be paid cash so they

were given land grants in other states.

The information on this particular ancestor is sparse. I will continue to search.
