Mrs Sarah Jane Mastin

Following a lingering illnes due to infirmities of age, Mrs Sarah Jane Mastin, age seventy five
died
Thursday at the home of her John Mastin, in this city. (Paris)
Mrs. Mastin was a native of Nicholas county, where she was born in 1848. Early in life she was
united in
marriage to Benjamin E Mastin, also of Nicholas County, who preceded her to the grave several
years ago.
She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church, and although not able to take an active part in
church service because of ill health, exemplified her religion in the Christian influence she
exerted
upon those of ther family and friends who knew her in her everday life.
Mrs Mastin is survived by two children, one son, John Mastin with whom she made her home for many
years,
and one daughter Mrs. Lizzie Harney, of Nicholas county; one sister Mrs Israel Bowles, of Bath
county;
two brothers, W.D Fryman, of Bourbon, and G B Fryman of Robertson county and a half brother, J J
Cummins, of Harrison county.
The body was taken to her old home, in Nicholas county, Saturday The funeral was held inthe Rose
Hill
Methodist church, at 2:30 Saturday afternoon with services cnducted by Rev. O B Crockett, pastor
of the
Paris Methodist church. The interment follwed on the famil lot in the Rose HIll Cemetary.
