Central City - Mr. Halbert Nodell Noffsinger, 66, of Central City, died Sunday, January 14, 1990 at 12:12 p.m. at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. Mr. Noffsinger was born in Muhlenberg County on September 4, 1923. He was a retired mail carrier and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was also a Veteran of World War II. Survivors include: wife, Anna Noffsinger of Central city; one son, Lloyd Noffsinger of Las Vegas, Nevada; three daughters, Martha Thomas of Sunny Vale, California, Brenda Johnson and Laura Jones both of Central City; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Brenice McCandless of Greenville and Carolyn Haack of Spring Lake, Michigan; three brothers, Oscar Noffsinger of Phoenix, Arizona, Wallace Nofsinger and Mendle Nofsinger both of Central City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17 at 2 p.m. at the Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with the Rev. Wilson Lofland officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call at the Tucker Funeral Home in Central City after 5 p.m. Tuesday (today).

Mr. Nofsinger was born in Muhlenberg County on October 21, 1933. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Central City. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include a sister, Carolyn Haack of Spring Lake, Michigan; a half-sister, Bernice McCandless of Greenville; and a half-brother, Oscar Nofsinger or Arizona. Graveside services were held Friday, November 11 at Fairmount Cemetery with Dr. Carson Bevil officiating. Burial followed the ceremony.

He was born in Muhlenberg County July 20, 1929, and was a member of the Martwick Baptist Church. He was a retired electrician and was a veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Ramona Sue Nofsinger, Central City; two daughters, Gayle Brothers and Karen Benson, both of Central City; four grandchildren; two brothers, Hethel Nofsinger, Phoenix, Arizona; Mindel Nofsinger, Central City; two sisters, Carolyn Haack, Spring Lake, Michigan and Brenice McCandless, Greenville. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 24 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with the Rev. Wilson Lofland officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
