After Joseph's death, Rebecca remarried to a Mr. Garrett.
Joseph and Rebecca lived near Springfield, Illinois and had the following children:
- Mary, born January 8, 1806; married a Mr. Metcalf who was a Merchant.
- Elizabeth, born April 27, 1808; married Judge R.B Ewing.
- Anna Ella, born September 17, 1810; married a Rev. Council. They were Methodist and lived in the Iowa area.
- John Beck, born September 3, 1813 and died August 16, 1872; married Elizabeth Berryman
- Alexander Beck, born January 10, 1816, died 1855-56 a Bachelor.
