Unity or Old Unity Church Burials
Transcription of burials of African American individuals based on information from Kentucky Death Certificates.
“When a new church house was built by the Unity Baptist Church congregation, the old house was turned over to the Blacks who had been separated from the congregation in 1867. The Blacks used the old house until it was too dilapidated for repairs. Unity then helped their Black brethren to erect a new building. Their new church was erected two miles south of Unity and one mile from Graham. They called the church “Mt. Zion.”
