Edwards Cemetery - also known as Sullivan Cemetery or Sullivan-Edwards Cemetery - is located in Todd County about 4 miles west of Clifty, roughly half way between Clifty and Kirkmansville before the Howell Edwards Bridge. When driving from Clifty on Route 107, turn left on a small gravel drive. The cemetery is about 200 feet ahead on the right. GPS coordinates based on these directions.
In years past, this cemetery was in very poor shape, with many broken stones. In 2010, the land was cleared out and timbered. The owner of the property has been helpful in restoring the cemetery. Also Avia Pritchett, a descendant of many of the Edwards buried here, has contributed greatly to the restoration of the cemetery.
Several early settlers are buried in cemetery: Andrew Jackson Edwards, son of Revolutionary War soldier David Edwards; Howell B. Edwards, son of Thomas Edwards, who settled this area about 1805 and is also thought to be buried here; and John Daggie Bivins.
