Old Liberty Cemetery.

Location

From Greenville take US 62W to KY 189. Turn left onto KY 189 and go about 4 miles to the Greens Chapel Road. Turn right on to Greens Chapel Road and go about 1 mile. The cemetery is on right side of the road. It is well maintained and still in use.

More people have ancestors buried at Old Liberty than any other grave yard in the county.

• Boyd, Adlai. Born 26 Nov 1804. Died 31 Dec 1881. Gravestone.
  • Adlai Boyd was the son of John Boyd & Elizabeth Leach. He was a well-known Cumberland Presbyterian minister. He married 1) Joannah Cessna, 9 Sept 1828, in Muhlenberg County. After Joannah died in 1864, he married 2) Almira J.M. Lane. Adlai & Almira moved to Henderson County, Kentucky. His will was filed there. According to Richard T. Martin, Adlai was visiting in Muhlenberg County, when he took sick and died. He was buried with his first wife Joannah.
