Lucille Tucker October 02, 1923 - January 05, 2012 RICHMOND, Ind. – Lucille Kurtz, age 88, of Richmond, died Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Reid Hospital after a brief illness. Born October 2, 1923, in Stanford, Ky., to Preston and Myrtle James Tucker, she moved to this area in the mid 40’s. Lucille was co-owner with her husband of Tom’s Antique Center and Tom’s Stained Glass Studio in Centerville. She was a member of the First Church of God. Lucille loved working in her flower beds and gardening, spending time with her family and friends, and going places with her daughters. She loved bargain hunting and looking for antiques.
Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn (Dennis) McGraw of Centerville, Brenda (Jay) Kitchel of Richmond, and Jeanie (Bill) Balthis of Greenville, Ohio; grandchildren, Tom, Michael, Mark, Ron-Eric DeLucio, Amy Sherman, Jeff Burton, Chris Balthis, and Jennifer Thomas; great-grandchildren, Josh, Nate, Chelse, Elle, Emma, Angel, Brittany, Caleb, Marc, Tucker, Isabella, Kyle, Chase, Jacob, Noah, and Christian; brothers, Edwin (Pauline) Tucker of Greens Fork and Evan (Wanda) Tucker of Crab Orchard, Ky.; cousins; nieces; nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Kurtz who died in 2001; her parents; and her identical twin sister, Louise Gover. Visitation for Lucille Kurtz will be from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Thomas officiating.
