McFALLS, Lillian Derry September 14, 1919 – September 06, 2007 WAYNESBURG – Lillian Derry McFalls, 87, of Kings Mountain, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford. She was born Sunday, Sept. 14, 1919, in Coal Creek, Tenn., to the late Roscoe and Bethalee Cantrill Derry. She was a member of Kings Mountain Methodist Church and a 1938 graduate of Memorial High School. Lillian was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Bingo at the State Fair, gardening and baking during the holidays.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne McFalls and Jerry (Lynn) McFalls, both of Kings Mountain, and Robert McFalls of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Jane (Art) Hibbard of Kings Mountain; a step-daughter, Mary Ruth Jones of Kings Mountain; two special nieces, Agnes Sims and Juanita Holt; three grandchildren, Lisa (Larry) Fletcher of Waynesburg, Travis (April) McFalls of Waynesburg and Tiffany (James) McFalls-Smith of Hammond, La.; three great-grandchildren, Joshua and Dustin Ingram, and Allison Smith; four step-grandchildren, Janet Clayborn, Joyce Cox, Darrell Jones and Marie Wesley; and six step-great-grandchildren. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Amos McFalls, and three brothers, Berchal and Cecil Derry, and Harold Thomas.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home in Waynesburg officiated by the Rev. David Gambrel.
Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today, Sept. 9, 2007, at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Dustin and Joshua Ingram, Travis McFalls, Jackie Derry, Larry Fletcher and Jackie Haggard. Honorary pallbearers are Hazel Delaney, Kathy Tillett, Georgetta Covey, Betty Jean Robertson and Kimberly Cook-Lee. Saturday, August 26, 2000 – Cincinnati Post
