ADAMS, E, dna L. Padgett April 07, 1924 – May 12, 1998 Edna L. Adams, 74, of Eaton, formerly of West Manchester, died Tuesday, May 12, at Grandview Hospital in Dayton. Born April 7, 1924, in Stanford, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Alva and Myrtle (Mullins) Padgett, and had lived in Preble County most of her life. She had been a janitor at Dayton Flexible Corp., retiring in 1986 after 19 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Fugate of West Alexandria; one son, Landis Eldridge of West Manchester; two grandsons, Joseph Fugate and David Fugate; a step-granddaughter, Tracy Tackett; a half sister, Marie Cress of Stanford, Ky.; a half brother, Leman Padgett of Stanford, Ky.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Wayne Eldridge; two brothers, Sherman Padgett and Alva Padgett; and a half brother, Raymond Padgett.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 14, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Michael Chapel, West Manchester, with the Rev. Sherman L. Padgett officiating.
Burial was in Twin Creek Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester.
