John B James, Sr
John B James, Sr ., 71, of Stanford, Kentucky, died Sunday, May 30, 1982, at the Fort Logan Hospital. He was a retired carpenter, having been employed by Lincoln Lumber Company and Stanford Wood Products. He is survived by his wife, Louis Smith James; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Cain, Stanford; one son, John James, Jr.,; three brothers, Joe James, Stanford; Carl James, Cincinnati, Ohio; Clyde James, Somerset; four sisters, Myrtle Tucker, Stanford; Alice R.French, Cincinnati, Eva M. French, Wyandotte, Michigan; Ruby C. O'Dear, Akron, Ohio; Irene Owens, Daytona Beach, Florida. He was a member of the Stanford Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m., at the Beazley, Raney Funeral Home. Dr. John Carter and Rev. Henry Flack officiated with burial in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Hover Godby, Ira McKinney, Clark James, James Welsh, Chester McCollum, Sherman Webb, John James, III, and Albert Manning. Honorary pallbearers were Lorn Atwood, Lawrence Kidd, Sam Whitaker, Egberth VanHook, Elbert Turner and Harry Saranton. JAMES-
