Being in my ninety fifth year, knowing my days are nearly numbered, therefore to guard against continuation and litigation among my children I make and publish this as my

last will and testament.

I hereby loan to my beloved wife the whole of the estate real, personal and ____ of which I am possessed during her natural life free from all, and all manner of interference by

any and all persons whatsoever, except as is herein otherwise provided.

I direct that my son, James McQueen shall be the executor of this my will and that he shall take care of my wife during her life and all the property herein bound to her, and

at her death the whole of the estate shall be sold on a reasonable credit, and the proceeds thereof divided among my children viz: Elizabeth Marsh, Jane Brown, Edmund,

Thomas, Margaret Shaw, Cynthia White, James McQueen and the children of my decd.. daughter, Zantipha Graves to wit; Mary Louisa and James Graves. Share and share

alike, the grand children, Mary L. and James Graves to have their mothers portion divided between them and having been more liberal with m y son, Thomas, than with the

other children, I direct my Executor to call upon Elizabeth Glore, Andrew Johnson and Will Shannon to prove the excess obtained by Thomas which shall be deducted from

her portion and added to the general stock before division is made among the other heirs.

In testimony of my full approbation of everything in this writing contained being my last will and testament, I hereby subscribe my name at Frankfort 7th day of May 1846.

Having this day reexamined the foregoing instrument of writing and being still of sound mind and memory, I do hereby affirm every part of and thereof with the followup provisions

to wit: That the provision made therein for my ungrateful, unnatural son, Thos. W. McQueen and the same is hereby annulled, revoked set aside, and rendered null and void to

all intent and purposes and instead of which I now direct my executors to give my said ungrateful son, Thos, one dollar from my estate which with what I have hereupon done for

him is a full and ample provision for one who has proven himself to be totally unworthy of the affections of a kind and indulgent parent, Frankfort 14th September 1847.

The above named Joshua McQueen this day signed and acknowledged the foregoing instrument and declared and reaffirmed the first part dated (7 May 1846) with this provision

to be his last will and testament and denoted the same to be produced to wit at a proper time and reconsider such, Frankfort 15th Sept 1847.
