In the name of God amen, I, Nancy Dunlap (a free woman of color) of the town of Frankfort, do make this my last will and testament to wit:

First, I request my executor and trustee hereinafter named to have my body decently buried after my death and to pay all my just debts for which purpose I will the whole of my

estate both real and personal to be liable for the same and for which purpose I will and bequeath the said real and personal estate to my friend Benjamin B. Johnson, Esq. of the

town of Frankfort.

Second, After the payment of my just debts I will and bequeath to my nephew, Robert Hawkins, a slave belonging to Col. E. H. Taylor the sum of ten dollars to

be paid to him by my executor and trustee one year after he may qualify as Executor of my estate. Thirdly, I devise that my executor shall sell all my personal estate and the upper

part of my lot lying on the road to Hardies Tanyard leaving fifty feet on Clinton Street and adjoining the Black Peoples Church and including the house I now live in to be rented out.

Thirdly, the balance of my estate including the sales of the personal estate and the sale of the lot after paying the legacy I aim to be equally divided. The one half I give to my son

Edmond Thomas Dunlap of the city of New Orleans. Fourthly, the other half of my estate is to be held by me executor and trustee for the use and benefit of my two grandchildren,

America and Martha, slaves belonging to the estate of Francis Graham, decd... and to be paid them in a way that my executor and trustee may think best for them. Fifth, The rent

a coming from my house and lot is also to be divided between my son and one half to him and the other to my granddaughters as in the fourth devise to be paid.

Lastly, I do hereby

appoint Benjamin Johnson, Esq., Executor and trustee of this my last will and testament and request the Franklin County Court not to require security of him, further discharge of his

duties as I have the utmost confidence in his integrity, that he will carry this out as my will. Witnesses my hand and seal this 29th day of March 1847.

Upon reflection. I conclude to all the foregoing so far as to direct my executor and trustee to extend the line on Clinton Street at least to sixty feet and do as much as will be necessary

to undivide both houses now standing which will be for the benefit of my heirs. Also it is my will and devise that my executor and trustee pay to the Baptist Church at the Forks of Elkhorn,

Kentucky one dollar each year for five years. Witness my hand and seal this 22and April 1847.

and Willis Blanton the subscribing witnesses therein. Whereupon the said will and codicil is ordered to be recorded and the same is truly recorded in my office.
