Franklin County June 1st 1797
In the name of Gad Amen I Samuel Montgomery of the county of Franklin and State of Kentucky do make this my Last Will and Testament being weak in body though of perfect
mind and memory. In the First place as to the land whereon I now live I give it to my sons John and Joseph to be by them equally inherited, and John and Joseph shall give
Samuel Montgomery Two Hundred and Twenty five pounds for his third then he shall quite claim to the third part hereof. As for my land in the hands of Henton if obtainied of
the vavlue thereof it shall be equally divided between John & Joseph. As for the personal property at my death I allow it to be equally divided between Samuel, John & Joseph,
as Witness my hand this 1st June 1797.

At a court held for Franklin County on Tuesday the 21st day of November 1797.
The last Will and Testament of Samuel Montgomery deceased was produced into court and proven by the oaths of Ro. Montgomery & Wm Montgomery. Ordered that John
Montgomery and Joseph Montgomery be admitted Exers. To the said deceased they having entered into bond with Wm. & Mo. Montgomery their securities. They having taken
the oath required by laws in the penalty of 2000L.
