I, John Mastin, of Franklin County and state of Kentucky being in a low state of health, tho of a sound mind and memory knowing it's appointed once to die,
doth make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and for following this 30th day of September in the year of our Lord 1808.
Item, I lend unto my beloved wife, Elizabeth Mastin during her natural life the land plantation which will then be in possession, together with one negro woman of the name of Lucy and
her three children, towit: Mariah, Esther and Harris and all hereafter increase and at my wife's death, I lend the above mentioned negroes to my daughter, Elizabeth Widner and from
her to her daughter, Sally Widner, Likewise all my stock of every kind, and all my kitchen and household furniture only to be sold out my stock enough to fetch about one hundred and
twenty dollars.
Item, I give unto my son Thomas Mastin one shilling sterling to him and his heirs forever.
Item, I give unto my daughter, Lucy McDowell one shilling sterling to her and her heirs forever.
Item, I give unto my son John Mastin on shilling sterling to him and his heirs forever.
Item, I give unto my son Mordica Mastin one shilling sterling to him and his heirs.
Item, I give unto my daughter, Jenny Gravet on shilling sterling to her and her heirs forever.
Item, I give unto my daughter, Phebe Shepherd one shilling sterling to her and her heirs forever.
Item, I give unto my son, Lewis Mastin one shilling sterling to him and his heirs forever.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Widner at the decease of myself and wife my land and stock & ever remaining after all the above mentioned legatees are paid of
tho nothing to be distributed in either of life times.
Item, The above mentioned one hundred and twenty dollars to come out of my stock to be given to my son Lewis Mastin's children, towit; Phebe and Lewis. And, lastly I constitute
and appoint my son and law George Widner and my friend Thomas Settle my whole and sole executors of this my last will and testament. I hereby make null and void all other wills.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this day and year above written.

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of John Mastin was produced in Court and proved by the oaths of William Hickman and Daniel E. Brown and George Brown subscribing
witnesses thereto, which is ordered to be recorded.
