Franklin County, Kentucky, February 17th day 1819
I James W. Hawkins being weak in body and knowing I must shortly depart this life I make this my last will. It is my wish my
estate be continued in the honor of my wife and that my children be kept together and that my wife to have power to sell any
part of my estate for the purpose of shooting? & other expenses that my occur in raising my children; all sales to be made
by and with the advise and consent my executor. It is my wish that my wife and children and my father and mother live together
as heretofore but in case they should see proper to separate I wish good convenient housing made for my wife and children
on the adjoining fifty acres that I hold a bond for title. It is my wish that Eliza a negro girl be given to my father and mother
during their lives. It is my wish that when any of my children come of age that my wife and Executor divide to them either in
whole or in part ot them part of my estate taking care to make my children equal and seing [not be money due not to pay
debts] (crossed out) my wife her thirds if there should not be money due to pay my debts in that case my Executor will have
a part of my estate appraised sold. I hereby appoint my father Aurelius Hawkins my executor and it is my wish that the
Court require no security of my Executor
