In the name of God Amen, I Ambrose Gresham of the County of King and Queen and State of Virginia do make and appoint this my last will and

Testament revolking all other wills heretofore made by me.

Item I give my daughter, Catherine Gresham, my negro girl Rachael with all her future

increase to her and her heirs forever, also one bay horse to her and her heirs forever.

Item - I give my daughter, Patsy Oliver, the bed and furniture I formerly lent her as a full part of all that I am able to give her.

Item - I give to my son Joseph Gresham when he arrives to the age of twenty-one years or marrys, one mulatto boy named Beverly to him and his heirs

forever.

Item - I give to my daughter, Nancy Gresham, one negro girl named Patience with all her future increase when she comes to the age of eighteen years,

or marrys, to her and heirs forever.

It is my will and desire that if I should not live to purchase land, that one hundred pounds be paid out in lands where Ann Gresham may chose to have it

purchased which land when purchased together with all the remainder of my Estate. I lend to my loving life, Ann Gresham for and during her natural life to

bring up and school my two children Joseph and Nancy and at the death of my wife, I give the land to my son Joseph with one half of all the remainder of

my Estate that my be left at the death of his mother and the other half I give to my daughter, Nancy to them and their heirs forever and lastly I appoint my

loving wife, Ann Gresham my Executrix and Ambrose Jeffries and Wm. Boyd my friends Executors to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof

I have here unto set my hand and seal this 18th day of April 1808.

At a Court held for the County of Franklin on Monday 16th day of April 1810

An instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Ambrose Gresham, deceased

was produced in Court by Ann Gresham and proved by the oaths of Richard C. Jones, Lewis

Brizendine and Alexander Wilson, Jr., witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
