I Thomas Carneal, a citizen of the world and resident of Oakly in the County of Franklin and State of Kentucky make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner
and form following, viz: Previous to my intermarriage with Mrs. Smith, I made a division between my three children by a former marriage, to wit; T. D. Carneal, S. H. Carneal
(now Coleman) and Alice D. Carneal. The property was land, the Lot which fell to my son I conveyed to him, the remainder has not been divided between the daughter, but
so soon as it shall be. It's my will and wish for it to be conveyed to each of them and their heirs forever and my friend Col. Thomas Todd of Woodford County is hereby
authorized and requested to make the deed when hereunto required. First, I give and bequeath unto my bosom friend and partner, Sarah Carneal Oakly farm and all my black
family which the law given my a right over or fee simple inheritance in, together with all my stock of horses, cattle, sheep and hogs which belong to or maybe considered in
any wise connected with the farm aforesaid at the time of my death and it's further my wish and desire that the papers at all times the right of disposing of this property either
in part or in whole in equal purportions or to the one she may think most deserving, confirming the distributions to my children only, and my reason for making this devise is to
place her not only independent, but above insult. She deserves from my hands kingdoms if I had them to give she possess my heart and my full confidence, she is to perfect
to abuse the trust. I therefore repose inquiet after diligently to her this power. Second, I desire that my friends John Taylor, Benjamin Taylor and Moses Scott value out of my
choice lands, thirty thousand dollars worth as lands rate at the time they may be called on to value it. Beginning with Sprink Garden tract and the land adjoining to make one
Lot. East Bend another Lot and the Mud Lick the third and so run the lines as to make each Lot worth as near as may be the sum of $10,000 dollars. These Lots when made
are to be drawn for unless otherwise agreed on by and between the parties and to each child. I lend one during life, and after death to be equally divided amonst the heirs to
them and their heirs forever. Third, the residue of my estate consisting of lands in the state of Ohio and Kentucky and all money bonds I convey in trust unto my friend and
relative Thomas Todd for the express purpose of paying my just debts of every description, which I desire maybe sold at such credit as he may judge right between the creditors
and the estate, as it is my wish and has ever been my practice is act while living so as not entail infamy on any branch of my family. It is my wish for justice to close all
accounts which has been opened by myself and I have no doubt but it will be closed with correctness ____? my opinion of the men to who the trust made. Fourthly, all the
residue remaining after ample promise is made for the discharge of my debts. I desire to be closed in as many lots as I have children living nine months after my death and
each lot to be numbered and drawn for. The Lot which falls to my son T. D. Carneal, I desire may be disposed of upon improving lease for such term of years or in such a way
as my executors hereafter named may approve of so as to raise ___ the property of which after ten years shall be so disposed of as majority to my executors shall approve of
to support a free school. The other Lots to be equally divided amongst my daughters and their lawful heirs. Lastly, I do by these presents nominate and appoint Thomas, Harry
Innis, Robert Innis, Robert Alexander, John Brown, George Maddison, John Taylor and Benj. Taylor my executors and do earnestly request for them to see this my last request
litterly ___? with. In testimony where of I hereunto set my hand and seal this last day of July in the year of our Lord 1809.

At a Court held for the County of Franklin on Monday the 18th of February 1811.
A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Thomas Carneal, deceased was produced in Court and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court by the testimony
of Christo Greenup, Robert Breckenridge, Peter Voohries and Daniel Weisiger that the said will, together with the signature was, wholly in the handwriting of the said Thomas
Carneal. It is therefore ordered that the same be recorded whereupon the same is hereby recorded in my office.
