Alexander S. Elliott House

102 W. High Street, built 1840s

The origin of this house is told in the story of the "Moody House" next door.

Alexander S. Elliott, who built it in the 1840's, resided here until his death.

His son and executor, Richard G. Elliott, sold the house in 1901 to James H. March, who conveyed it the next year to Gus Luigart. It was described as being between the corner property of T.N. McClelland (who purchased the "Ready House") and that of the heirs of Mrs. Ford.
