This picture was given to me by Mary Jane Spencer Adams' daughter, Reva. The school was divided into 2 groups, my grandfather Elberton Monroe Brewer is in this one called the Merry Workers. Reva kept the other group because her mother was in it.
Most of the group is unidentified. The picture was taken around 1909-1910 school year on Glencairn Ridge in Rogers, Wolfe County, Kentucky.
2nd child from left is Elberton Monroe Brewer. He was born 1902, son of Henry Clay and Margaret Ellen Spencer Brewer.
3rd child from left is George Gobel Spencer, born 1900, son of Dock and Polly Puckett Spencer.
2nd child from right is America Elizabeth Brewer Adams, born 1904, daughter of Henry Clay and Margaret Ellen Spencer Brewer, she married John D. Adams.
3rd row standing on right in front of teacher is Simeon Spencer, born 1895, son of Dock and Polly Puckett Spencer, in the center 2nd row is a Bush boy.
Hope someone can identify more of these people. There are Spencer, Brewer, Bush, Booth, and several other families in this photo.
