Elva Blankenship and Cora Day about 1922.
Cora Day is the daughter of Mollie Queen Sheba Noble Day and Judge Day. Coras grandparents were George Washington Noble and Arenna Noble. Cora was born September 18, 1902, in Breathitt County, Kentucky. Her family moved to Wolfe County, Kentucky, when she was 15 months old.
Elva Blankenship is the son of Mina Jane Long Blankenship and Hiram Blankenship of Wolfe County, Kentucky. Elva was born October 20, 1901, in Wolfe County, Kentucky.   On February 11, 1923, Elva and Cora were married by Curt Walter, while sitting in a buggy. Her sister, Cordelia Day Horn, his brother, Ova Blankenship, Stanley Centers and a friend of the minister witnessed the weddking on horseback. After the marriage they moved to Illinois. Later they moved to Hamilton, Ohio, where at 98 years of age Cora was still living and maintaining her home.   Contributed by
