She was the daughter of Jacob M. "Jake" Taylor and Sarah E. Dunn. She married Marion Curtis Halsey who was born July 13, 1885, Wolfe County, Kentucky, and died September 4, 1926, Wolfe County, Kentucky. The known children to this couple are Ethel Halsey, died March 30, 1979, and Seldon Halsey, born November 5, 1916, Kentucky, and died February 10, 1998, Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio. Tennessee married a 2nd time, after Marion's death to Isaac Hollon.
