JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON TELFORD WHISMAN FROM THE DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 8/19/07 Telford P. Whisman, age 70 of Vandalia, OH passed away August 18, 2007 at his residence after an illness. He was born February 26, 1937 in Campton, KY, son of the late Ray & Elizabeth (Noble) Whisman. Mr. Whisman was a retired employee of the Interstate Motor Freight Co. with 30 years of service and the US Postal Service with 14 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a life member of the Vandalia VFW Post # 9582; Vandalia Amvets Post # 99 and American Legion Post # 668 where he was Past Commander & served as a District Officer. He was also a 30 year member of Voiture Locale # 34 of 40 & 8. He was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Whisman. Telford is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue (Lomax) Whisman; 4 sons, Karl & (Gee), Bruce, Brian, Jeff & (Holli); 7 grandchildren, Brandon, Rachael, Phillip, Josie, Alex, Austin & Kaylea; 1 sister, Hettie McKinney of Cranford, NJ; 1 brother, Herbert & wife Lucy Whisman of Dayton and numerous of her relatives & friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. August 21 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH. Burial at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
