Nickell NICKEL, Thurman C. 80 of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Belle Manor Nursing Home, New Carlisle. He was born May 4,1923 in Wolfe County, Kentucky the son of the late Troy & Willa Mae Nickell. He was a resident of New Carlisle since 1957, retired employee of Chrysler Air Temp Dayton, a member of the Missionary Church and the First Church of God, New Carlisle. He was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran of WWII, and was a member of American Legion Post 286, New Carlisle. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lucille Nickell; son and daughter-in-law, Paul & Brenda Nickell of Huber Heights, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Betty & Edward Hartman of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Travis & Todd Hartman, Andrea Skaggs and Cindy Parrish; four great grandson, Kolton & Jarrett Skaggs, Braden & Hunter Parrish; two brothers, Robert Nickell of Durango, Colorado, Arnold Nickell of Kettering, Ohio; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in d! eath by three brothers, Edgar, Walter & Eugene Nickell. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN & CHRISTMAS FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Burial at New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
