OBITUARY: Whisman, Stanley - Friday March 2, 2001 Middletown Journal - March 3, 2001 Submitted by: vivianmoon@juno.com ********************************************************************* Stanley Whisman Stanley Whisman, 79, of Middletown, died here Friday, March 2, 2001. He was born in Campton, Ky., on Feb. 22, 1922, and had lived in the Middletown area for 55 years. Mr. Whisman served in the Army during World War II. He retired from his job as a construction worker from B.D. Morgan Co. in 1984. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda L. Whisman in 1994; his parents, Sam and Maranda Whisman; brothers Jim, Orville and Jay Whisman; and a sister, Zeola Dunahoo. He leaves a daughter, Wanda G. Sheley of Middletown; a grandson, Chad Sheley (Suzanne) of Greensboro, N.C.; a great-grandson, Ryan Sheley of Greensboro; a sister, Lucille Bailey (Ray) of Middletown; and a brother, Austin Whisman of Middletown. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard Sears will officiate. Interment will be in Elk Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. MEMORIALS: Contributions in Mr. Whisman's name may be made to Grace Baptist Church, P.O.
