Obituary: Rose, Roy Jr. - Monday, October 31, 2005 The Middletown Journal - November 2, 2005 Submitted by: Norma Adams ********************************************************************** ROSE, Roy Jr. Age 79, of Middletown, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2005 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born December 21, 1925 in Vico, Kentucky to Roy and Susie (Mullins) Rose. Roy was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and travel. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leo Rose, grandchild Tommy Newman and brother-in-law, Charles Roe. Roy is survived by his wife, Ruth (Kash) Rose; children, Rita (Tom) Newman of FL, Bill (Saundra) Rose of Columbus, Oh, Carol (Tom) Hook of Idaho, Donna (Scott) Hoffee of SC, Robert (Sandy) Rose of CA; sisters, Marie Roe of CA and Lucille (Don) Swartzel of Middletown; step-children, Don (Melanie) DeBorde, Mike Kash and Kevin (Jane)Kash all of Middletown; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren, and a loving extended family and many friends. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Baker Stevens Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, November 4, 2005 at 10:00 am with Rev. Art Wilson officiating at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post #218 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Baptist Window Fund, 3023 N. Union Road, Middletown, Ohio 45044.
