Obituary: Dozier, Myrtle (Spencer) - died - Wednesday, June 22, 2005 Submitted by: Bill & Thelma ********************************************************************** Myrtle Spencer Dozier, 92, widow of Emery Dozier died Wed. June 22, 2005 , a native of Glencairn, Ky., daughter of the late G.W. and Rebecca Spencer. She was a retired Registered Nurse with the Veteran's Administration. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing. Member of Calvary Baptist Church. During WW-II she served as a Lieutenant in Nurse Corp with the 108th Evacuation Hospital during the Battle of the Buldge, Ardennes, Northern France and Central Europe. She received several decorations and citations. Surviving family include her son, Byron (Jamie) Kelly Dozier, Lexington; a sister, Alma Spencer; grandchildren, Byron E. Dozier , Sarah M. Dozier and Jessica L. Vance. Service 10 am Sat. W.R. Milward-Southland. Friends may call from 9 until the service. Burial Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
