He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Mae Salley; four daughters, Mrs. Carmie Handy, Campton, Kentucky; Mrs. Christine Gillenwarter, Fairborn, Ohio; Mrs. Gladys McDonald, Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Flora Allmond, Ft. Knox, Kentucky; also by four sons, Everett and James Salley of Middletown, Ohio; Kash Salley of Newport, Rhode Island and Robert Salley of Lexington, Kentucky. Funeral was held 2 PM Thursday at Sandfield Methodist Church. Ministers were Green Ratliff and Hershell Halsey. Pallbearers were Alvis and Danny Salley, Ernie and Harold Handy, Sam Gillenwater, Monnie Allmond, and George McDonald. He was buried in the Clark Cemetery at Sandfield, Kentucky. He was married to Lillie Mae Stamper (daughter of James W. Stamper and Laura Bell Rouse). Lillie Mae Stamper was born on January 18, 1893. She died on November 29, 1967 in Fairborn, Ohio. She was buried in Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio. *********************************************** Menifee Jackson "Jack" Salley was born on September 22, 1874 in Kentucky. He died on May 3, 1959 in Middletown, Butler County, Ohio. He was buried in Cox's Mill Cemetery, Toliver, Wolfe County, Kentucky. His family's house was built on the county line between Menifee and Jackson counties, hense his name.
