OBITUARY: Trent, Lula (Lucinda Alice) Whisman From: vivianmoon@juno.com    Date: May 23, 2004 May 12, 2004 Middletown Journal, Middletown, Ohio Lula Lucinda Alice Trent Lula (Lucinda Alice) Trent, 102, of 7934 Shartz Road, Springboro, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Hillspring Health Care Center, Springboro, Ohio. She was born on Nov. 3, 1901, in Campton (Wolfe County), Ky., the daughter of James and Cynthia (Swango) Whisman. She grew up in Campton, Ky., and took care of her aging parents until their death. She went to live with her oldest sister, Mary Ann Trent. After her death she married her brother-in-law, Clifford, to care for him until his death. She came to Ohio in 1964 to be near her sister and brothers. She was one of 13 children, seven brothers and five sisters. Preceding her in death was her stepdaughter, Artie Irene Powell (Ed); loving twin brothers, Fred Whisman of Whisman Building Contractors, and Frank Whisman (Ollie) of Frank Whisman & Son Building Contractors, Ed Whisman (Ida) of Middletown, Sam Whisman (Maranda), George Whisman and John Whisman (Golda) of Franklin, Ohio, and Jesse Whisman (Estil) of Campton, Ky.; and sisters Martha Morris of Franklin, Ohio, Mary Ann Trent (Clifford), Beattyville, Ky., Avylee Morris (Fraley) Campton, Ky., and (Callie) Caroline Rose (Willie) of Dayton, Ohio. She is survived by a sister, Myrtle Henry, 97, of West Liberty, Ky.; a sister-in-law, Pauline Whisman (Fred); wonderfully caring step-grandchildren, Debbie Pasquel (Joe), (Sandra) Gail Bensen (Jim), Pam Carter (Charles), Jeff Powell, and Tim Powell (Brenda) of Fort Myers, Fla.; and step-son-in-law Edward Powell (Walene) of Speedway, Ind. Lula also leaves behind ⤦specialâ¤? nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, and many friends and acquaintances who will miss her beyond comprehension. She loved her church, the First Church of God on River Street in Franklin, Ohio. She was a wonderful Christian lady who made an impression on everyone she met. Special thanks to special²Earth Angels² who helped her (Ken and Vernie) and everyone who looked out for her⤲and also the special ones at Hillspring Care Center. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 14, at the First Church of God, 704 River St., Franklin, Ohio, with the Rev. Phil Moon officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., in Franklin. Burial is at Woodside Cemetery, South Verity Parkway at 14th Ave., in Middletown, Ohio.
