Akers, Keith Allen -47, of Lee City, died Tuesday, August 30,2005, at 
St. Claire Regional Medical Center, in Morehead. 
 
Born November 25, 1957, in Menifee County, Kentucky, Keith was a son 
of Callie Salley Akers, of Lee City, and the late Edgar Akers, Jr. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 1 sister, 
3 brothers, and 1 half sister. Survivors in addition to his mother 
include a daughter, Jennifer Akers, and. a son, Brian Keith Akers, 
both of Campton; one granddaughter, Janice Fayelynn Akers, of Campton; 
three sisters, Viola Mills, of Baxter, Georgia, Geraldine Brown, of 
Ezel, and Shirley Kimelton, of Grassy Creek; three brothers, John 
Akers and James. Obrin Akers, both of Lee City, and Curt Akers, of 
Lexington; one half brother, Edwin Akers, of Catlettsburg; and a host 
of nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2,at the 
House of Hope Church, officiating. Burial followed in the Salley 
Cemetery at Lee City, with Herald and Stewart and Halsey Funeral 
Home, of West Liberty, in charge of arrangements. Family and friends 
were pallbearers
